More and more international companies move to Vienna.  Just over a year ago, pharmaceuticals multinational Boehringer Ingelheim announced its decision to build a biopharmaceutical production facility in Vienna, using active substances manufactured with cell cultures. In doing so, it brought Vienna an investment of 500 million euros. The new facility will create 400 new jobs in the capital by 2021, as well as many more during the project and construction phases. The move was not just the biggest investment in the company’s history, but also a clear and enduring vote of confidence in Vienna as business location. The fact that 175 international companies moved to Vienna in 2015 only goes to show that the capital is becoming more attractive to such corporate giants all the time.

The move is only the first stage for us. More and more international companies move to Romania. Ford is about to move EcoSport production from India to Romania (Craiova) by 2017 for European markets. This will entail an investment of Euro 200 million.

Renault Group – With almost EUR 2.3 billion invested by the end of 2014 and 17 000 employees in the Romanian facilities, the Renault Group, one of the most significant players worldwide, is the country’s largest company and exporter.

Romanian software company Tremend targets 40% turnover increase in 2017. Romanian software company Tremend forecasts a 40% turnover increase in 2017, from EUR 3.5 million in 2016, mainly due to the high demand for advanced software solutions.
